GAME INSTRUCTIONS
Who is it for?
This puzzle game is recommended for children aged 7 to 8 and up, spanning upper elementary school, middle/high school, and adults. While the sliding block mechanic is intuitive, solving the advanced levels requires cognitive maturity linked to patience and well-developed spatial awareness. It is an ideal tool for independent use in STEM classes, for therapists focusing on strategic planning, and for adults seeking to maintain mental sharpness through complex logic challenges.Number of players.
Single-player mode, designed for local play on a single device. What is it about?
- Core mechanic: Based on Rush Hour style sliding block logic, the player must shift the stone blocks obstructing the mine tracks to clear the way.
- Objective: Guide the cart filled with gold to the exit in the fewest movements possible.
- Scoring system: Upon clearing each level, the game evaluates performance by awarding 1, 2, or 3 stars based on how close the player's move count is to the optimal minimum target shown on the level card.
What skills are developed?
- Computational thinking: Goal-oriented planning and logical step-by-step sequencing.
- Spatial awareness: Understanding grid blockages, track-bound unidirectional paths, and geometric layout.
- Executive functions: Cognitive flexibility, decision-making, resource optimization, and frustration tolerance.
How to get the most out of it?
To maximize the educational value, challenge the student to refrain from moving any block until they have mentally mapped out the entire sequence required to earn a 3-star rating, thereby boosting working memory and foresight. In the classroom, it can be used in a shared and collaborative way by projecting the level onto the board; organize students into small groups to debate and cooperate, analyzing the different possible combinations together with the goal of finding the sequence with the fewest moves in the group.Video
