GAME INSTRUCTIONS
What is the objective of the game?
Brain Math is the ultimate "Math Brain Training" online game, designed to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division through 8 fast-paced mental math mini-challenges. The primary goal is to solve as many correct equations as possible within a 30-second time limit per challenge, earning a 1 to 3-star rating and a numerical score for personal tracking and improvement. Control mechanics depend on the selected mode:- 1. Find the Operator: Select the correct mathematical symbol (+, -, ×, ÷) to complete the equation.
- 2. Grid Math: Drag the correct number tile into the grid box containing its matching operation.
- 3. Calculator: Type the solution using the virtual numeric keypad and submit via the green arrow button.
- 4. Circle Math: Drag four scattered numbers to the corresponding edge of the center circle based on the applied operation.
- 5. True or False: Click to determine whether the presented mathematical equation is correct or incorrect.
- 6. Half and Double: Drag the half of a given number to its left and its double to its right from the bottom pool.
- 7. Path for Doubles: Draw a continuous line connecting four consecutive tiles by repeatedly doubling the value.
- 8. Reach the Number: Trace through numbers and mathematical operators in a single motion to hit the target value.
Recommended age and educational level
Recommended age: 8 years and up (Elementary, Middle School, High School, and Adults). This game requires prior knowledge of basic arithmetic operations and multiplication tables. It is suitable for:- Students: Building fluency, operational speed, and mental math confidence.
- Teachers and parents: Serving as a digital warm-up, gamified practice tool, or math center activity.
- Adults and seniors: Maintaining cognitive sharpness, exercising working memory, and promoting brain health.
- Therapists and tutors: Supporting cognitive training and executive function development in structured sessions.
How to play: single-player or multiplayer
The game is designed as a single-player local experience focused on self-improvement. However, it easily adapts to group or classroom settings by taking turns on a single device, competing for high scores, or calculating class averages across the 30-second tests. What is learned from this game? Learning outcomes and skills
Brain Math aligns with core math standards and develops critical cognitive domains:- Arithmetic Fluency: Mastery of foundational calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, halves, and doubles.
- Working Memory & Mental Agility: Holding numerical values in mind while planning subsequent operational steps.
- Processing Speed & Focus: Rapid decision-making and sustained attention under strict time constraints.
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Identifying patterns and using mathematical shortcuts to optimize time.
Tips to get the most out of this game
In modes like Half and Double, tackle even numbers or larger values first to clear choices systematically. Unplugged activity suggestion: Record your total correct and incorrect responses on paper after completing a 30-second round. Calculate your accuracy percentage and maintain a daily progress chart to monitor improvements in calculation speed and accuracy.Video
