GAME INSTRUCTIONS
Who is it for?
This game is designed for middle school, high school students, and adults (ages 11 and up), as it requires advanced strategic thinking, spatial awareness, and familiarity with powers of 2. It is an excellent resource for math teachers illustrating geometric progressions, as well as adults looking to improve mental agility, long-term planning, and working memory.Number of players.
This is a single-player, local game, focused on self-improvement, beating personal high scores, and autonomous problem-solving.What is it about?
It is a sliding tile numerical puzzle on a grid. The main objective is to combine tiles with identical numbers using the keyboard arrow keys to merge and double them (2, 4, 8, 16, 32...) following a geometric progression. The game is won when the player creates a tile with the number 2048, and it ends when the board fills up and no more legal moves can be made. What skills are developed?
- Math Competencies: Practical understanding of powers of base 2, geometric sequences and progressions, mental math, and basic arithmetic.
- Cognitive Skills: Strategic planning, movement anticipation, spatial reasoning, and logical decision-making under spatial constraints.
