GRID SPARK: Daily Block Blast

GAME INFO

What is the goal of the game?

In Grid Spark, students drag and drop blocks onto an 8x8 grid to complete full rows or columns. Each completed line clears from the board, freeing up space for the next pieces. The challenge is to keep the board from filling up by placing every piece strategically. Players can also earn Zaps, power-ups that help clear tight spots.

Recommended age and educational level

This puzzle game is recommended for students ages 6 and up, from 1st grade through middle school, and it's engaging for high schoolers and adults as well. It works great as a brain break, an early-finisher activity, or a warm-up for math and logic lessons.

How to play: single-player or multiplayer

Grid Spark is a single-player game. At the start, choose between Normal Mode or the Daily Challenge, a new puzzle every day to keep minds sharp. The game controls can also be switched to different languages.

  • Pieces appear in sets of three. A new set only appears once all three have been placed.
  • Drag each piece onto the grid wherever it fits.
  • Fill an entire row or column to clear it.
  • Clear squares marked with the lightning bolt to fill the energy bar and earn Zaps.
  • Activate a Zap by selecting a square: it clears every block in that square's row and column, perfect when a piece won't fit.
