GAME INSTRUCTIONS
What is the goal of the game?
The game Cubemory consists of memorizing and matching pairs of animal images distributed across the 6 faces of a 3D cube. The main mechanic requires dragging to rotate the cube in three-dimensional space, clicking on the tiles to reveal the animals, and finding all matching pairs to clear all 6 faces of the cube. Available game modes:- 2x2x2 Cube: Features 24 tiles (4 per face) with 12 animal pairs to solve.
- 3x3x3 Cube: Features 54 tiles (9 per face) with 27 animal pairs, offering a higher level of difficulty.
Recommended age and grade level
Recommended age: From ages 5 to 6 and up, suitable for Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle/High School, and Adults. Justification and prior knowledge: Requires no prior academic knowledge or reading skills for the 2x2x2 mode. The 3x3x3 mode demands advanced spatial awareness, making it ideal for ages 8 and up. Target audience and educational use:- Students: For direct training of working memory and spatial visualization.
- Teachers and educators: As a brain break activity or cognitive warmup in the classroom.
- Therapists and parents: Highly effective for kids with attention challenges (ADHD) or for adults and seniors looking to keep their minds sharp and support brain health.
How to play: single-player or multiplayer
Primary mode: It is designed as a single-player game, focused on personal improvement by tracking completion time and total moves at the end of each round. Collaborative group adaptation: While single-player, it can be played collaboratively in pairs or small teams, assigning players to track specific cube faces, or used to build a friendly leaderboard based on speed and accuracy. What do you learn from this game? Tips to get the most out of this game
Self-improvement challenge: Review your end-of-game performance stats (time and total moves) and challenge yourself to complete the cube with fewer attempts. Unplugged classroom activity:- Physical cube memory: Build a physical 3D grid using small cardboard boxes or sticky notes on a block to recreate the game off-screen.
