ANIMAL SOUNDS Matching Game

GAME INFO

What is the objective of the game?

The Animal Sounds Matching game is an interactive audio activity where players listen to sound clips and match them with the correct animal. Players click the play button to listen to real animal noises, identify the species, and drag real animal photographs to pair them with their corresponding sound until all pairs are solved.

Recommended age and educational level

This game is recommended for toddlers and preschoolers aged 2 to 3 and up (Early Childhood / Kindergarten), as it requires no reading or prior academic skills. At this stage, young children are actively developing auditory discrimination and real-world visual associations.

It is an essential tool for young students, parents, and early educators, as well as speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists working on auditory processing, focus, and language acquisition for children with developmental delays.

How to play: single-player or multiplayer

The core format is single-player, encouraging self-paced sensory exploration and independent learning. However, it effortlessly turns into a collaborative group activity in the classroom, where children mimic the animal sounds together, discuss which animal makes the noise, and decide on the correct photo as a team.

Tips to get the most out of this game

To extend the lesson with an unplugged sensory activity, host a animal sound guessing game offline: an adult makes animal noises out loud while children guess the animal and move around the room acting out how that animal walks or flies.
