Compare the Sizes of Different Objects

GAME INFO

What is the goal of the game?

The Real-World Object Size Comparison game consists of evaluating 6 pairs of related items on each worksheet (such as animals, vehicles, or thematic objects) to determine which is larger or smaller. The main goal is to select the correct object in each pair based on its actual size in real life —rather than its drawn dimensions on the screen— according to the prompt given in English. Once all selections are made, click the check button: correct choices will turn green while incorrect ones display in red, adding a point to your total completed worksheets counter.

Recommended Age and Educational Level

Recommended for ages 4 to 5 and up (Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grade 1). At this level, learners move beyond purely visual cues to apply real-world knowledge and abstract scale comparison. It can be used directly by young students or by teachers, parents, and occupational therapists working with children who need reinforcement in basic logic and conceptual reasoning. It requires basic English language skills to understand instructions asking for either the bigger or smaller item.

How to play: Single-player or Multiplayer

The activity is built for single-player mode on touchscreen or computer. However, it serves as a great collaborative group lesson in classrooms or homeschool settings, prompting children to discuss and explain why a snowplow is larger than a car or a bee is smaller than a beehive before submitting their answers.

What do you learn from this game? Skills and Learning Outcomes

Tips to get the most out of this game

To implement an unplugged offline activity, bring real-world items or toy models into the classroom and ask students to compare their actual sizes regardless of toy proportions. You can also print matching paired drawings on paper and have children circle or color the correct target item based on written prompts.
