BUNNY MATH RUSH

GAME INFO

What is the goal of the game?

In Bunny Math Rush, students guide a bunny along a three-lane road. Each lane shows a number, and the goal is to steer the bunny into the lane with the correct answer to the math problem on screen. The game includes 6 worlds with 5 levels each, set in different landscapes such as mountains, desert, and a lake, with difficulty increasing steadily from world to world.

Recommended age and educational level

Recommended for students ages 6 to 10, from 1st to 4th grade. The early levels, with single-digit addition, suit beginning learners. The later worlds, featuring multiplication facts up to 12 × 12 and division without remainders, challenge students in 3rd and 4th grade.

How to play: single-player or multiplayer

This is a single-player game. Students move the bunny between lanes using the mouse or the arrow keys. Operations are introduced in a clear progression:
  • World 1: addition.
  • World 2: subtraction (answers are always positive).
  • World 3: multiplication and division.
  • Worlds 4 and 5: all four operations mixed.
  • World 6: multiplication and division with larger factors and divisors.

What do you learn from this game? Learning and skills

  • Mental addition and subtraction, from single digits up to numbers in the hundreds.
  • Multiplication fact fluency from 2 to 12.
  • Division as the inverse of multiplication (divisors 2–10, quotients 2–12).
  • Quick, accurate decision-making.
  • Focus, sustained attention, and hand-eye coordination.
The game supports Common Core standards for operations and algebraic thinking, especially fluency with addition and subtraction (1.OA, 2.OA, 2.NBT) and multiplication and division within 100 (3.OA).

Tips to get the most out of this game

  • For teachers: assign worlds by skill. Worlds 1 and 2 for addition and subtraction units, Worlds 3 and 6 for multiplication and division, and Worlds 4 and 5 as mixed review.
  • Use it as a short warm-up or exit activity to build fact fluency.
  • Encourage students to say the answer before moving the bunny, so they focus on calculating rather than guessing.
  • Unplugged challenge: tape three lanes on the classroom floor. Call out a math problem and place three number cards, one per lane. Students hop to the correct lane.
