GAME INSTRUCTIONS
What is the objective of the game?
The objective of Low's Adventure 1 is to guide little Low through 32 platformer levels to collect all the gold coins and overcome the obstacles in each stage. Players control Low using the arrow keys, WASD keys, or touch controls on screen to run, jump, activate mechanical buttons that reveal or hide platforms, and glide smoothly using an umbrella by holding the jump input.Recommended age and educational level
This game is recommended for ages 6 and up (Elementary School through High School and Adults). It requires basic hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to calculate jump trajectories. It is suitable for students practicing problem-solving skills, as well as parents, teachers, and therapists working on sustained attention, motor planning, and decision-making in children. No prior academic knowledge is required. How to play: single-player or multiplayer
This is a single-player game. However, it easily adapts into a collaborative group activity in classroom or home settings, where players take turns per level, discuss strategy together to solve platform puzzles, or help guide timing for difficult jumps. What do you learn with this game? Learning and skills
Low's Adventure 1 helps build critical cognitive abilities and motor skills:- Computational thinking and logical sequencing: Planning action steps to trigger switches and clear pathways to all coins.
- Spatial awareness and timing: Judging jump distances, navigating directional ladders, and stomping on enemies accurately.
- Resilience and trial-and-error problem solving: Adapting strategies after mistakes to clear increasingly complex stages.
- Reflexes and fine motor control: Executing prompt key combinations to run, glide, and dodge obstacles simultaneously.
Tips to get the most out of this game
Pedagogical challenge: Before starting an advanced level, have the player observe the stage for 10 seconds without touching the keys and verbally explain their action plan (which button to press first, where to climb, and how to avoid enemies). Unplugged activity: Draw a simple grid-based platform map on paper. Have children write down or draw direction arrows (up, down, left, right, action) to chart Low's path before playing the level, introducing basic algorithmic thinking off-screen.Video
