GAME INSTRUCTIONS
What is the goal of the game?
The Lingo Dreams game challenges players to build foreign language skills by matching words in their native language with target translations across progressive levels. To play, you must choose your starting and target languages from 11 available options (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Indonesian, and Vietnamese) and click matching word pairs related to household items, rooms, furniture, food, drinks, and hygiene. The goal requires strategically clearing free words to unlock frozen or blocked tiles on the board.Recommended age and educational level
This game is recommended for ages 6 to 7 and up, making it suitable for Elementary, Middle School, High School students, adults, and language learners. It serves as a versatile tool for independent student learning, as well as for ESL/world language teachers, parents, and cognitive therapists targeting memory retention and brain training in adults. It requires no prior foreign language experience, introducing new vocabulary incrementally through visual association. How to play: single-player or multiplayer
The standard format is single-player mode, fostering self-paced learning, vocabulary acquisition, and focus. However, it easily converts into a collaborative classroom activity where pairs of students share a screen to deduce translations together and plan which open word pairs to solve first to unfreeze locked tiles. What do you learn from this game?
