Counting Game with the Virtual Abacus: an interactive game for children in which you have to count the number of beads on the abacus and select the correct number from the four options at the bottom. The abacus is a very ancient tool for performing calculations, which allows, among other things, the representation of very large numbers by using units, tens, hundreds… In this case, the abacus is simpler, designed for children around 5 years old, and the goal is to visualize the equivalence of a full rod to a ten, making it easier to deduce the number more quickly than it would take to count all the beads. The trick is to count full rods or half-full rods, adding tens and groups of 5. Numbers up to approximately 20 appear, so the appropriate age for this abacus activity is around 5 years old.
